Meet the BuildersBrad Bullock and Jay Barham, the owners of Kingdom Builders, joined forces years ago to form one of the best and most unique building partnerships in the region. They pride themselves on crafting the highest quality homes, with unique character and ideas that are both practical and functional. When Brad and his wife Angela were looking for a home of their own, he and Jay decided to start their own company. "We looked at dozens of homes and just couldn’t find the detail and quality at the price we were seeking," says Brad. "Jay and I met through a mutual friend from church. I just decided that my family wasn't going to find the home we wanted unless we built it ourselves. So Jay and I decided right then to form Kingdom Builders which in the name itself holds us accountable. This company was born from a urge to build the finest quality homes anywhere!" Brad and Jay are family men; Brad and Angela have two children, and Jay and his wife Jennifer have three children. Happy homes for happy homebuilders. Jan and Buzz Peterson moved to Charlotte last summer. Buzz is a former University of North Carolina basketball player and now is director of player personnel for the Charlotte Bobcats.
Jan says finding a home was difficult for a while, and then they saw a Kingdom Builders home in Providence Downs South. 'We had looked at about 35 homes and then we came here to see this Kingdom Builders home. It was love at first sight. I told Buzz I could live here forever!
'After just seeing this house, I never wanted to see another one. This is the nicest home I've ever lived in.' adds Jan. 'The kitchen was just incredible. I absolutely loved the appliances. The intricate detail of the home, all of the things that make a home special and unique, it has them all. It just had a charisma that I've never seen before.'
Jan, Buzz and their three children are still getting moved in. 'It's truly our dream home and we want it to be just perfect. Brad and Jay have been so helpful. I would say that customer service is one thing we have been able to count on completely. From start to finish, it has been a great experience!'
